Question 5

How did you attract/address your audience?

We planned our target audience before making the film and managed to achieve the same target audience by the end. By doing this it gave us a guide when making our storyline and choosing the set and props etc.
We took into account the occupation of the characters, which we thought would match with our target audience the most. We did this through props, costume and setting, which were used to address the audience.
We looked at the technical aspects of our audience as we looked into how our characters would speak and how the would dress and what they would own (house, car, furniture etc.). We did this in the best way to attract our target audience. By starting the film with a man driving a new car towards a large housed estate was our way of attracting the correct audience.
We were organised as we gathered the props and costumes together and had it ready for the day of filming. By doing this we benefitted the audience as we had time to collect the correct equipment most suited to our audience.

Things which were less successful in the process of producing our film were: finding the time when all the actors and actresses could get together at the setting of the film as we are all from different places and had to travel. We also found it hard finding the best most suitable people to play the parts to attract the audience.

If we had more time to find the better, more suited actors to the characters in the film, we would have addressed the audience more but there was not enough time due to the amount of planning, which took place.
